Graduate Fellowships
PDK’s graduate fellowships annually support Kappans who are pursuing graduate degrees at the master’s, specialist, and doctoral levels.
The submission deadline for 2010-11 fellowships is June 1, 2010. Download the application.
PDK supports educators who are pursuing graduate degrees in education through several fellowships and awards made available through the Phi Delta Kappa Educational Foundation and its endowed scholarship program. Below is a list of fellowships that are available for 2010-11.
- Graduate Fellowships in Educational Leadership are for members who will be graduate students from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. These fellowships include the Past President Emery Stoops Fellowship, the Charles Foster Fellowship, and the Memorial–Howard Soule Fellowship.
- The Larry E. Frase Scholarship is for doctoral students studying motivational factors of teachers and educational leaders.
- The R. Gerald Melton Scholarship is for doctoral study in education administration.
- The Nappi-Cahill Graduate Fellowship Fund is for graduate study in mathematics.
- The John M. Skalski Scholarship is for PDK members in a doctoral study in education.
- The Lorin and Susan Waitkus Endowed Scholarship is for a M.Ed. candidate in mathematics, science, and technology leading to teacher licensure in integrated mathematics, life sciences, earth sciences, physical sciences, integrated sciences or technology in the College of Education and Human Ecology at The Ohio State University.
- The Ruey H. Witten Fellowship is for post-baccalaureate study in music education at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
