		<description><![CDATA[Yes, if you live on the edge of a geographical area you can still be in the center of change.  South Lyon Community Schools is on the edge of Oakland County, one of the richest counties in Michigan.  However this rural district experienced financial collapse in the late 80&#039;s and early 90&#039;s and is still funded below the average for the State of Michigan.  New leadership took the reigns and despite these obstacles this district is now one of the leaders in the State with student outcomes that are very competitive with districts who are financed at twice the student foundation grant.]]></description>
