Hello, I just wanted to say that I believe you are spot-on with this recommendation. I have found myself identifying qualities with my middle school students that great teachers possess. The students are often surprised when I recommend that they consider teaching as a future career option. As the research article you reference suggests, I am usually the first person who has ever brought up the subject with the student. I see greatness in all of my students, however there are a few who are shining examples of exemplary teachers in the making. I hope that more teachers take your advice and begin to cultivate the love for learning and teaching within the classroom.
