Officer Training Events
While chapter officers used to rely upon local area leadership conferences (ALCs) for training, PDK’s current governance structure and access to outstanding technology mean that officers may now choose from two convenient options to get the training they need.
Chapter Officer Training Webinars
PDK Chapter Officer Training Webinar provides an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the four required officers (president, treasurer, foundation representative, and membership representative), and instruction for accessing other chapter officer resources. View the recording today.
Face-to-Face Training
Face-to-face training is a great way to get customized training that meets your officers’ needs. At least two PDK chapters must come together to take advantage of face-to-face training with a field representative. Chapters that collectively wish to take advantage of this opportunity may request a local officer training day from the international office. Chapters should be prepared to absorb the costs of the event, including travel expenses and lodging for the field representative. When requesting the training, please provide the following information:
- The names and numbers of chapters involved
- A primary contact person (including name, email address and phone number)
- Proposed date, time and location of event
Regardless of whether they participate in chapter officer training, presidents of record for good-standing chapters still receive chapter officer guides each spring via US mail. As always, the president is responsible for distributing those materials to officers elected for the following fiscal year.
