Required Officers

Incoming officers are identified in the Spring of each year. Their names are submitted to the international office by using the Chapter Leadership and Activity Report. This report may be completed online, printed and mailed, or faxed to the international office. The report is due at the international office no later than June 30. A minimum of four officers are required for a chapter to be considered active: president, treasurer, membership representative, and foundation. These officers must be professional standing members and be in good-standing with the association during their term of office. The president and treasurer positions may not be held concurrently by the same person

Most chapters include more than the minimum number of chapter officers such as president-elect, past president, research representative, and adviser. Two officer positions known to contribute to chapter success are an activities/projects coordinator and a communications/newsletter editor. Chapters are encouraged to include these two additional positions.
