Starting a New Chapter

A chapter establishes an immediate link to a global network of members and other chapters committed to promoting quality education. By chartering a chapter, an education institution or community provides:

• A forum to bring together educators at all levels for meaningful interaction, exchange of ideas, leadership opportunities, and networking.
• A means to actively involve and connect teachers, graduate students, administrators, and higher education faculty in an informal setting.
• A vehicle to encourage achievement and excellence through recognition and awards at local, regional, and international levels.
• A mechanism to support and enhance education and the community through service projects, outreach programs, and partnerships.
  
• An instrument by which graduate level academic programs may be enhanced.
