PDKConnect closed on October 31, 2011
As part of our efforts to continuously improve the benefits we offer to our members, PDKConnect closed on October 31, 2011. This allowed us to focus our efforts onto programs our members feel are the most valuable.
We made this decision after collecting input from a large number of members. For the past year, we have conducted phone surveys to determine what resources members find most useful. Those surveyed indicated that our publications, such as Kappan, Educational Horizons® and Classroom Tips, are of extreme value, yet many did not use PDKConnect. Knowing this, we chose to focus our resources on the products and services that our members have indicated they find most valuable. For example, we recently started providing a print copy of the Kappan Professional Development Discussion Guide for PDK members. For PLT members, we redesigned the website, making it easier for members to find relevant information, read and share Educational Horizons, and register for events or scholarships.
