Advocacy for Education

The PDK constitution notes: “The purpose of Phi Delta Kappa shall be to promote quality education, in particular publicly supported education, as essential to the development and maintenance of a democratic way of life. This purpose shall be accomplished through research, service, and leadership in education.” To this end the Foundation supports the publication of a number of position statements in the form of advertorials and news releases. An advocacy handbook also has been published for use by members and chapters who plan to engage in grassroots advocacy.
