Annual Giving
Nine annual giving societies are maintained to recognize gifts from individuals. Special recognition is provided annually to members of each society. Additional information about the societies can be obtained by contacting Evelyn Eller at the Phi Delta Kappa International Office (eeller@pdkintl.org – 800/766-1156).
The Maynard R. Bemis Society* (gifts of $25 - $49)
The Executive Director's Society (gifts of $50 - $99)
The President's Society (gifts of $100 - $249)
The Lowell C. Rose* Bronze Society (gifts of $250 - $499)
The Lowell C. Rose Silver Society (gifts of $500 - $999)
The Lowell C. Rose Gold Society (gifts of $1,000 - $1,999)
The Bessie Gabbard* Bronze Society (gifts of $2,000 - $4,999)
The Bessie Gabbard Silver Society (gifts of $5,000 - $9,999)
The Bessie Gabbard Gold Society (gifts of $10,000 and above)
Cumulative Giving
Five levels of cumulative giving societies are maintained to recognize gifts from individuals.
The George H. Reavis Bronze Society (gifts $1,000 - $4,999)
The George H. Reavis Silver Society (gifts $5,000 - $9,999)
The George H. Reavis Gold Society (gifts $10,000 - $24,999)
The George H. Reavis Platinum Society (gifts $25,000 - $49,999)
The George H. Reavis Diamond Society (gifts $50,000 and above)
* Maynard R. Bemis was executive secretary of Phi Delta Kappa International from 1956 to 1970, during which time the Educational Foundation was established.
* George H. Reavis founded the educational Foundation in October 1966 when he established a trust and provided for its funding.
* Lowell C. Rose was executive secretary of Phi Delta Kappa International from 1971 to 1995, during which time PDK had considerable membership growth.
* Bessie Gabbard was first lady of PDK and a leader of the Education Foundation from its inception until her death in 2001. She was also one of Foundation's largest benefactors.
