Dr. Jo Ann Ota Fujioka Scholarship Fund
The Dr. Jo Ann Ota Fujioka Scholarship will be awarded annually to a student of color who is graduating from high school and wishes to become an educator.
Dr. Fujioka took office as PDK's 44th International President in July 2005. Her two-year term of office included planning for and celebrating Phi Delta Kappa's centennial throughout 2006. This scholarship was established as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of PDK and in celebration of her centennial presidency. It also recognizes the ongoing support of the PDK Educational Foundation to the tenets of Phi Delta Kappa—research, service, and leadership.
Dr. Fujioka worked for 26 years in the Jefferson County school system in Golden, Colorado, most recently as area special education and related services manager. She is currently a private consultant.
