Nappi/Cahill Family Scholarship Fund
The Nappi/Cahill Scholarship will be awarded to a member of PDK enrolled at the graduate level at St John's University aspiring to work in the field of mathematics education. The recipient must intend to teach in public schools.
The scholarship honors four important persons, the parents of Frank and Sandy Nappi, Frank and Lucy Nappi and Edward and Marion Cahill.
Frank and Sandy were the first members in their respective families to earn a college degree. They chose education as their major and spent the major part of their lives as teachers in New York City.
Frank has been an active PDK member for more than thirty-five years and has served as a member of the PDK International board and on the Board of Directors of the PDK Educational Foundation.
