Greater Siouxland Iowa Chapter Scholarship Fund
The Greater Siouxland Iowa Chapter Scholarship is awarded to a student graduating from high school in the Sioux City, Iowa, area. The recipient is selected by the Greater Siouxland Iowa Chapter of PDK through the prospective educator scholarship program.
The scholarship fund was started in June 1994 as a partnership between the chapter, one of its members, Gene Ulrich, and matching funds from Ulrich's employer. The first recipients were named in 1999.
Gene Ulrich is an emeritus and 30-year member of Phi Delta Kappa who also served as area coordinator from 1986 to 1992.
