Audit Training Program

Training in the curriculum audit process empowers you to look objectively at the entire curriculum management system for your district, and to make the best decisions to help maximize student achievement based on what you find.

PDK's International Curriculum Management Center offers two training programs: one focuses on the design and delivery of curriculum and assessment; the other on system-based factors -- policy, organizational structure, planning, budget, and facilities. The programs may be taken in sequence or independently of each other. In each program you will learn how to successfully and objectively apply standards of sound curriculum management to your school system.

Instruction is provided by certified senior lead auditors and founders of the International Curriculum Management Center.

The Standards
1. Governance and Control. A school system is able to demonstrate its control of resources, programs, and personnel.

2. Direction and Learner Expectations. A school system has established clear and valid objectives for students.

3. Connectivity and Consistency. A school system demonstrates internal connectivity and rational equity in its program development and implementation.

4. Assessment and Feedback. A school system uses the results from system-designed and/or adopted assessments to adjust, improve, or terminate ineffective practices or programs.

5. Productivity and Efficiency. A school system has improved productivity.

Who Should Attend These Trainings?

  • Superintendents, deputy superintendents, curriculum and instructional leaders, and principals who want to develop expertise in the curriculum management process.
  • School board members, professors, and state department of education personnel.
  • Individuals wishing to become certified as curriculum management auditors. (All three programs described below are required for licensure as a curriculum management auditor.
