
What is the Curriculum Management Center?
Phi Delta Kappa's Curriculum Management Center offers several ways to unlock the variables that can lead to meaningful change for your school or district. Its many programs and services — all developed to comprehensively evaluate a curriculum system — can assist you in efficiently focusing resources, establishing goals and ultimately, taking the key steps needed to improve teaching and learning.
The Center offers districts the Curriculum Management Audit, the most comprehensive examination of a school district's curriculum management system available. Governed by the same principles and standards as a financial audit, the curriculum audit determines how effectively the school district designs and delivers its curriculum. The Curriculum Management Audit is based on effective schools research and was developed by Fenwick English, founder of the International Curriculum Management Center.
The Center also can tailor the Curriculum Management Audit to fit the needs of Small Districts or it can focus on the evaluation of a district's curriculum areas, such as reading, language arts, math, etc.
The Center provides audit curriculum licensure opportunities for professionals — enabling them to successfully and objectively apply standards of sound curriculum management to their school system.
Along with conducting individual School Audits, District Audits, and training professionals in the Audit method, the Center provides professional support to principals and administrators with its renowned training, The Three-Minute Walk Through.
