New President for PDK International

Dr. Jo Ann Fujioka takes office as president of Phi Delta Kappa International July 2005.  Dr. Fujioka worked for 26 years in the Jefferson County school system in Golden, Colorado-most recently as area special education and related services manager. Dr. Fujioka is currently a private consultant.

Dr. Fujioka succeeds outgoing president Sherry Morgan, Superintendent of Schools, Diocese of Knoxville, Tennessee.  Joining Dr. Fujioka on the PDK board in July is the incoming PDK president-elect, John Amato, principal of Maple Place Middle School in Oceanport, New Jersey, and adjunct professor in graduate studies at Monmouth University.
