Teachers' Polls
This series of national surveys compared public school teachers' attitudes with those of the general public on issues regarding public education. Teachers throughout the United States answered selected questions from the Phi Delta Kappa/Gallup Poll of the Public's Attitudes Toward the Public Schools and from the first two Phi Delta Kappa teachers' polls conducted in 1984 and 1989. Their answers provided insights about trends in teachers' attitudes and about differences between teachers' and the public's views on education. Reports were published in the Phi Delta Kappan.
